rick riordan took one of the greatest books of all time, homer's Odessy, and put it with a modern twist to a young boy named percy jackson. i would recomend this book too anyone with a good spirit of adventure.
The continuation of Percy Jackson The Lightening Thief is just as good if not better. It is book two of five and if you have not read the series then you don't know what you are missing. It will keep you at the edge of your seat wanting more. The series is well written and truly worth the time.
IF YOU LIKE "THE SEA OF MONSTERS" I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND "SHADOW PROWLER" BY ALEXEY PEHOV. I also visited his website at [.]. Alexey Pehov, is Russia's leading fantasy author with many awards under his belt. (I did some research after reading the SHADOW PROWLER). and leaned even more about the author. The translator of SHADOW PROWLER was Andrew Bromfield who also translated the highly acclaimed and successful, NIGHT WATCH (also by a Russian author).SHADOW PROWLER is the first in a trilogy of Epic Fantasy and I am eagerly awaiting future novels in the series.
this book is highly recommended for anyone, I first became interested in these books when my son brought home the first book from school one day. I enjoyed this book very much. It had alot of surprises and continuous action, as the other books in the series. We have both the hardcover and paperback editions. Love 'em all.
The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riodan is a story about a boy named Percy Jackson and a girl named Annabeth Chase who are half-bloods. The Cyclops helps them along the way, but Percy is not sure if being Poseidon's son is a great honor or just a embarrassing cures. As Percy and his friends are traveling, they find Grover's fake feet and sneakers. ) That just makes Percy worry more about his goat friend. Grove got lost while he was trying to find the " Wild God" Pan.The story begins at Percy' s seventh school in seven years in Manhattan, New York. I really liked the ending because everything ends up working out like a good story does. The story follows Percy to a deadly game of dodge ball in the school's gum, but that was just the beginning of Percy's journey. These half-bloods take a trip to find their friend Grover ( he is a satyr ). ( Grover needs fake feet and sneakers to hind his hooves, and he needs a cap and jeans to hide his horns and goat fur, because is a satyr which is half goat half man.
Percy is the son Poseidon which is one of the Elder Gods who are not supposed to have kids, so Percy is one of the most wanted to be hunted by monsters. So while he is trying to find his friend Grover with Annabeth, he finds out his half brother is a Cyclops. I really liked this book. I would recommend this book to people with love for Greek, people who love a good heart racing story, and people who love to learn.
